Stories from the Table

Dear friends,

My name is Olivia and I have had the privilege of leading Stories from the Table, a global photography project and contest inviting participants and their communities to reflect on culinary diplomacy, a theme inspired by the Foundation for Post Conflict Developments and culinary envoy Wheeler del Toros Peace Cookbook InitiativeThe theme explores how food has helped preserve identity, encourage reconciliation, inspire hope and strengthen communities and on this page you will read stories from peace advocates, students, and people from all over the world on what culinary diplomacy means to them. I welcome you to take a look around the page to learn from the voices of others as well as reflect on how food has shaped your community and culture.

Kindly,
Olivia Cerulli Lewan

“The views presented here do not necessarily represent the views of the Foundation for Post Conflict Development. They serve as a people to people exchange of information based on values of respect and desire for cultural and diplomatic understanding without judgement. All points of view are welcome and are necessary to better understand the context of post conflict development. It is in this spirit that the FPCD created this Institute.”
