Working together to save lives

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Princess Stephanie of Monaco presented the diplomas to Caroline and Marcelline two midwives from the Ivory Coast, Africa, participating in an ongoing special further training at the maternity department of the Princess Grace Hospital (CHPG).

The goal is to exchange mutual knowledge and experiences among childbirth specialists from the Ivory Coast and Monaco, with the intention it in the future to extend it to other countries, with the mission of reducing mortality and saving the lives of both mothers and newborn children, in countries with fragile healthcare infrastructure. “It is pilot project, and now that we have open the doors to the collaboration with the Ivory Coast, we hope it will continue,” affirmed Claudia Abate.
