In an effort to address the current humanitarian crisis in Timor-Leste, the FPCD, in her “sister foundation” capacity is raising funds so that FPCD Executive Director, Claudia Abate, may present a donation during her visit to that country. more >


Documentary Film on Post Conflict Development in East Timor.


Mr. Ted Folke, the filmmaker of the award winning documentary, “East Timor: Betrayal and Resurrection” is working with the Foundation for Post Conflict Development to create a sequel documentary. more >


Long-Term printing project with Grafica Patria in East Timor.
As the FPCD strives to help post-conflict countries develop any way it can, the Foundation will have all its printing needs (business cards, stationary, promotional material and newsletters) made in East Timor. This project is small for the FPCD but will have a big impact locally since the average Timorese earns a dollar a day more >

Tourism as a mean to achieve the goals of the FPCD.
One way the FPCD will educate about and raise money to support its projects will be to organize trips to post-conflict developing countries. These trips would be coordinated by the FPCD, the proceeds going towards financing projects in the countries welcoming these tourists.It has been demonstrated that for most developing countries, tourism is an important source of income and creates employment. more >

The Foundation for Post Conflict Development is a civil society partner in improving global development and seeks to work with organizations that place development as a priority, therefore, the FPCD is currently considering partnering with a French non-governmental organization called Association Solidarite Fratnernite Rouen Madagascar to help raises awareness about the needs of Madagascar. more >

Cultural Preservation as a means to Post Conflict Development.
In some post conflict areas, the unique culture relevant to some countries is at a risk of becoming lost for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the keepers of local traditions, usually the older generation, have been killed through combat and other times, foreign cultures have been imposed on various populations. more >

Under the leadership of the Director for Post Conflict Research, Mr. Richard Jordan, and Advisor for Post Conflict Research, Mr. Emelian Djinic, the FPCD is conducting research on countries emerging from conflict situations. more >

Are you from a country emerging from a conflict situation? The FPCD would like to hear from you and share your story from the “inside”. What do you think are the priorities for post conflict development in your country?
