How We Work

The FPCD is honored by support from the Principality of Monaco. This support has allowed the FPCD to filter funding from the philanthropic Prince Albert II to projects in Timor- Leste, thus helping the Timorese and creating a strong and fruitful relationship between Monaco, Timor- Leste, and the FPCD.

The Principality of Monaco has allowed us to pursue our passions in Timor- Leste: that of improving maternal health through the construction of maternity clinics, the improvement of the environment and creation of sustainable food sources through our reforestation and kitchen garden projects, and the encouragement and education of youth through the construction of youth centers. We use the funding from Monaco and other outside donors to initiate projects, then fundraise through other initiatives to complete the projects. We find responsible and accountable organizations in country that will use funding in a transparent way to buy supplies, hire labor, construct infrastructure, and find staff for all of our facilities. Communities are able to run their own projects, as long as they honestly fulfill the goals set forth in the original funding agreement, which the FPCD mediates.

We also partner with sister foundations with similar goals to help them fulfill their projects- we act as a filter, a foundation, and a force of good. The FPCD is able to support these foundations through the use of campaigning, advertising, networking, and securing of funds for these other initiatives. In this way, the FPCD is able to be a small part of helping all good and noteworthy development goals.
