FPCD commends International Olympic Committee for hosting Forum

Placed under the patronage of the International Olympic Truce Foundation (IOTF) and the IOC’s International Relations Commission, the Forum was held on 7 and 8 May 2009 at The Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
This Forum provided a unique occasion to exchange experiences and opinions on how sport can contribute to development, peace and national cohesion, with an emphasis on sport’s contribution to achieving the Millennium Development Goals, amongst other objectives.
By Invitation only, the Forum brought together representatives of the Olympic family, governmental and non-governmental institutions, UN agencies, and educational institutions.
