Vincent Wilkinson

Vincent Wilkinson, a French national, studied in France and obtained degrees in economic and social sciences as well as in international business.

He started his career at the United Nations in the Department of General Assembly Affairs and Conference Services in 1992.

He currently works for the Economic and Social Council where he is the liaison with the Group of 77. As the largest Third World coalition in the United Nations, the Group of 77 provides the means for the developing world to articulate and promote its collective economic interests and enhance its joint negotiating capacity on all major international economic issues in the United Nations system.

The Group of 77 also promotes economic and technical cooperation among developing countries. This experience has given him a close view regarding issues facing developing countries, especially those emerging from conflict situations.
