Kristen Ireland is currently employed at Shearman & Sterling LLP where she manages an attorney career development program for an AmLaw 100 international law firm. She actively manages retention, development, evaluation processes, new associate orientation, coaching, and related professional development initiatives. Ms. Ireland is also responsible for all community initiatives for the firm and initiated relationships with three new community organizations (2004-present).

Ms. Ireland was previously a consultant for a boutique consulting firm working with AmLaw 100 and Fortune 100 firms, specializing in corporate training and development, special consulting projects and recruitment (2000-2004).
Ms. Ireland has presented continuing legal education approved training programs to legal audiences of up to 200+ at the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) of New York and coordinated administrative and project related tasks for national geriatric research foundation, including 2 conferences and extensive research on mentoring and leadership (1999-2000).

Ms. Ireland received a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1998 and an M.A. in Organizational Development and Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in 2000.

Ms. Ireland co-authored Mentoring New Social Work Faculty: A Gerontological Perspective, published in Gerontology & Geriatrics Education, Volume 25, Number 1 2004 and is an active member of Junior League, the national women’s volunteer organization where she served on the Advocates for Public Policy Committee (2005) and the Done-in-A-Day Events Committee (present).
